The thrilling extended contest that saw the Los Angeles Dodgers defeat the Blue Jays by one run drew a total over 50 million watchers in the United States, Canada, and Japan markets. MLB announced this is the most-watched World Series Game 7 since the 1991 showdown featuring the Twins and Braves.

It also is the top-rated Fall Classic game after the 2017 Game 7 involving the Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros, which drew 29.07 million. This represents a sixteen percent increase over the previous Game 7 featuring the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros, which attracted 23.19 million viewers.
In the weekly rankings, Game 6 placed 4th, Game 4 was 7th, the fifth game came in eighth, and the third game landed in thirteenth position.
Global Audience Numbers
In the Canadian market, the game averaged 11.6 million viewers on Sportsnet and the French-language TVA Sports. This made it the most-watched English program in the country after the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
